PROGRAMS

At Football Smarts Academy, we offer a range of programs for players that fall into the "Miniroos" category. This group includes Under 7s through to Under 11s. 

WEEKLY SESSIONS

WEEKLY SESSIONS are back!  Programs will be offered in Term 2, 2024.  In Term 2 and 3 only Mondays are offered for this age group.  Term 4 will see the return of the Tuesday session. 

​

We will continue to be running sessions at Karinya in Blackwood in 2024. Sessions for MiniRoos aged between U8-U11/12 are offered. Players are able to come straight from school and experience football fun between 3.40-4.30 each Monday. Spots are strictly limited. Please email and you can be given an up to date price and code to register for the remaining weeks if you miss the start of a term. 

 

There are two major elements of these sessions:

1) Ignition: we aim to help IGNITE or further add to a love of the game. Nothing is more important than a young player loving the game. 

2) Technique: We aim to guide the player towards using the fundamental techniques required to play the game effectively, and to enjoy the game. 

​

Program: Ball mastery, 1v1, first touch, running with the ball, striking the ball (shooting and passing), teamwork. 

​

UNDER 7s - UNDER 15s

Arrival: 8:50am​

Start: 9:00am

Finish 3.00-3:10pm

Core skills focus: Running with the ball and first touch, scanning, communication and striking the ball (shooting)

​

Players will always be grouped by ability within age groups where possible to ensure maximum participation, positive learning opportunities and a fun experience for all. Players need indoor and outdoor shoes/football boots. Shin pads are compulsory. Players should arrive having applied sunscreen and also bring a hat and food for the day.

    This program is by invitation or trial only, please enquire. Players travelling to Tottenham should try to enrol in this session and will be given priority in this session over new ones, however current players from T1 2024 can re-enrol also. Tottenham players should have purchased a FS kit.

    Come and join Mr L once more as we learn some indoor soccer skills every Tuesday morning for 7 weeks in Term 2! We get there early, for a 7.40 start and finish at 8.30 each week. We will do skills and games, maybe even have some music on and have lots of fun! Prices are for Clapham students only.

    Come and join in on Friday lunchtime as we learn more about the game of Futsal (indoor soccer) and also improve our football skills at the same time (soccer skills!). Program is limited to Prince Alfred College students only.

    All players from all clubs and schools welcome. Don't miss out! Players should be U8-U10+ They should be born between 2016-2013. This is a session in which girls are also encouraged to enrol. Please email if not sure about suitability. Girls can be grouped together on request.

ONE OFF SESSIONS

Please enquire about one on one or a small group of 2/3 with the coach for your child/children. 

Times available can vary depending on coaches' commitments during season. A one-off session is for 50 mins at a time to be arranged. At the end of the session the coach will talk you through a pathway for your child based on their current level.

 

1 player: $75

With 2 players: $45 each.

With 3 players: $35 each.

For longer term bookings of 6 weeks or more for sessions such as these, discounts will apply.
